'Outlander' Is Finally Back With A Brand New Story!
The new Outlander prequel explores the love stories of Jamie and Claire's parents across two distinct time periods.
The first trailer from the new series Outlander: Blood of My Blood have arrived! The prequel series begins in early August on the streaming service Starz, with new episodes released weekly.
The new series takes a step back in time and follows two generations of love stories set during both the trenches of World War I and the rugged Scottish Highlands of the eighteenth century.
In Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the focus is on the story of two couples. One narrative follows Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), the parents of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) from the original series, while the other centers around Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), the parents of Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe).
The narrative illustrates how both couples must protect their love in times of chaos and conflict. Despite the different periods, their lives intertwine in unexpected ways.
The cast also includes Tony Curran as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie, Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie, Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, and Conor MacNeill as Ned Gowan. The series will be available on American Starz starting Friday, August 8.
