Amazon has officially announced the start of production for season 3 of 'The Rings of Power' with new cast members and intriguing developments.

In it, someone is seen walking around with the Iron Crown, a clear reference to Morgoth; and thus indirectly to Sauron. The suggestion is clear: dark forces are stirring again. According to Amazon, season 3 takes place several years after the events of the previous season, amidst the war between Sauron and the elves.
The cast of season 3 is expanding. Jamie Campbell Bower, known as Vecna from Stranger Things, will make his debut in Middle-earth. Eddie Marsan has also been added to the cast. Rumors suggest that Bower may portray Celeborn, the long-awaited husband of Galadriel, while Marsan may play the brother of Durin. Whether these theories are correct remains yet to be confirmed.
