Netflix's 'Frankenstein' Film Reveals The "Breathtakingly Beautiful" Monster
Guillermo del Toro finally gives us a better look at his dream project.
Netflix has released a new image of Frankenstein, the new adaptation of Mary Shelley's iconic book. In it, the monster from the film is prominently featured.
The film is directed by horror master Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth). The role of the monster is played by Jacob Elordi, while Dr. Frankenstein himself is portrayed by Oscar Isaac.
Frankenstein tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a 17th-century doctor who experiments with the creation of new life. One day he succeeds, but the result terrifies him.
As the monster attempts to understand its new life, Victor flees in fear. Eventually, the two meet again in a confrontation with horrifying, fatal consequences...
Check out the new image below. Del Toro wanted to ensure that this monster deviated from the 'classic' Frankenstein look we are familiar with from other films. He describes it as "breathtakingly beautiful, in an almost otherworldly way." Frankenstein also features roles for Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Lars Mikkelsen, and more. The film will be available on Netflix starting November 7, but first gets a limited release in theaters worldwide.
