'It: Welcome To Derry' Is Upcoming, And You Must Be There According To HBO Max
The promotional machine for the new series is in full swing and leaving no detail untouched. The excitement for the upcoming series has fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.
Just a few weeks to go until HBO Max launches one of the most promising series of the year. The chilling It: Welcome to Derry is ramping up its promotional campaign and has now unveiled a brand new poster that perfectly captures the tone of the series.
The series is a prequel to the It films from 2017 and 2019, based on the iconic book by horror legend Stephen King. Once again, the terrifying clown Pennywise takes center stage as he horrifically grips the town of Derry.
Expectations are sky-high, which is not surprising since the first two films by director Andy Muschietti grossed over a billion dollars worldwide and reached modern horror classic status.
It: Welcome to Derry is developed by Muschietti himself and will be globally available on HBO Max. HBO sees so much potential in the series that it will also be aired on its own television channel. As if that weren't enough, the series has already been renewed for a second season before its premiere.
As fans know, the evil in Derry returns every 27 years. The first season takes place in the 1960s, and the new poster captures that atmosphere by looking like a tourist promotion poster from that era.
But those who look closely will discover more. The youngest family member on the poster receives a recognizable red balloon from a shadowy figure, a sinister detail that loyal viewers will immediately associate with It.
Brad Caleb Kane and Jason Fuchs, who previously co-produced It: Chapter Two, will take on the role of showrunner. Andy and Barbara Muschietti are involved again as executive producers.
The cast includes James Remar, Chris Chalk, Clara Stack, Miles Ekhardt, and of course, Bill Skarsgård, who returns to his iconic role as Pennywise. Starting Sunday, October 26, It: Welcome to Derry will be available on HBO Max.
