Trailer 'Wonder Man': The Next Marvel Series Breaks All MCU Rules
This is just one of the many projects that Phase 6 will introduce.
Wonder Man is an upcoming new Marvel series, created by Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the title role.
The first full trailer was released yesterday and you can check it out below. In January, Wonder Man will be available to stream on Disney+.
The footage, which serves as a love letter to the Hollywood film industry and acting, introduces Simon Williams, an aspiring actor auditioning for the lead role in a superhero series.
However, he discovers that he possesses special powers himself and thus finds himself in the superhero realm where he eventually evolves into a superhero known as Wonder Man.
In addition to Abdul-Mateen II, Ben Kingsley will also star as the modest actor Trevor Slattery. He previously appeared in Iron Man 3, the one-shot All Hail the King, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (also by Cretton).
Additionally, it has been confirmed that Arian Moayed will reprise his role as Agent Cleary. Agent Cleary is a high-ranking officer from the Department of Damage Control who was seen earlier in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ms. Marvel.
