After A Brutal 2.5 Years Wait, This Epic Fantasy Adventure Will Finally Continue Next Year On Netflix

The second season of One Piece live-action is set to debut in 2026 with thrilling new adventures and characters.

Fans of One Piece will need to be patient a bit longer, as the second season of the popular live-action series won’t be released until 2026. Production has completed, and Netflix previously confirmed that a third season is also in development. A brief teaser has already revealed new characters, including Miss Wednesday, along with a first look at the Grand Line.

The first season, based on the world-famous manga by Eiichiro Oda, was a global success and brought Luffy’s adventures to the conclusion of the Arlong Park storyline. The new season will continue with the Loguetown and Arabasta sagas, where the Straw Hat crew encounters new foes and allies. According to Netflix, the story will be bigger and more intense than ever, focusing on the narratives from the kingdom of Arabasta.

Familiar Faces And New Crew

The core cast is returning: Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Emily Rudd (Nami), Mackenyu (Zoro), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji). Additionally, Vincent Regan, Morgan Davies, and Jeff Ward are back. New names include Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday. Notably, the introduction of Chopper, the beloved reindeer doctor voiced by Mikaela Hoover, is highly anticipated.

Filming for season 2 took place in South Africa between June 2024 and February 2025. Since Netflix is filming two seasons simultaneously, it's expected that the third installment will arrive soon after. Producers Becky Clements and Marty Adelstein have indicated that the story could potentially be expanded to twelve seasons. “There is plenty of source material to continue for years,” says Clements.

Netflix

While an exact release date has yet to be announced, it is confirmed that the series will be available on Netflix sometime in 2026.
