One Of The Biggest Crime Series Sees Spin-off Canceled After Just One Season
The spin-off NCIS: Tony & Ziva has been canceled after just one season on Paramount+.
The spin-off NCIS: Tony & Ziva will not continue. Paramount+ has decided to cancel the series after just one season. This news ends a brief return of two of the most popular characters from the NCIS universe.
The series focused on Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), both former NCIS agents. They teamed up with a mysterious technology program in an attempt to track down an international criminal group that embezzled money from Interpol.
Alongside Weatherly and De Pablo, the cast also featured Isla Gie, Amita Suman, Lara Rossi, Maximilian Osinski, Anne-Marie Waldeck, Julian Ovenden, James D’Arcy, Nassima Benchicou, Terence Maynard, Emmanuel Bonami, and Sean Pertwee. The series consisted of ten episodes and aired from early September to late October.
In a joint statement, the lead actors thanked the viewers, colleagues, and production team for their dedication and commitment. Despite the fanbase's enthusiasm, the decision was made not to renew the series.
With the cancellation of Tony & Ziva, three NCIS series remain on the air: NCIS, NCIS: Origins (season two), and NCIS: Sydney (season three). Paramount+ continues to focus on the broader franchise, even though this specific spin-off has been terminated.
