It will be at least six months until the new season of the hospital drama The Pitt is released, yet viewers are already receiving an unexpected blow: Dr. Heather Collins will not be returning. This news comes as a complete surprise for many, as the doctor played by Tracy Ifeachor became a fan favorite.
The farewell was subtly initiated in the first season. In season one, chief doctor Robby sent the exhausted resident home after a tough shift, four episodes before the finale.
