The New 'Outlander' Is Coming, And Here’s How 'Blood Of My Blood' Starts
The prequel series 'Outlander: Blood of my Blood' explores the deep love stories of Claire and Jamie's past.
The prequel series Outlander: Blood of my Blood is truly on its way. The trailer for the spin-off has now been released by the channel Starz and offers a glimpse of the atmosphere of this series.
Blood of my Blood follows two love stories: that of Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser in 18th century Scotland, and that of Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp during World War I. This further explores the backgrounds of Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall.
For the series trailer, a new song that is partially sung in English and partially in Gaelic has been chosen. The vocal performance comes from Julie Fowlis, while the music is composed by Bear McCreary, known for his work on the original Outlander series.
This new title track marks a departure from the iconic The Skye Boat Song, which was heard for years in the original series. It emphasizes that Blood of my Blood aims to establish its own tone within the Outlander universe.
Outlander: Blood of my Blood will premiere on August 8th on the American channel Starz.
