After 'Prey' And 'Killer Of Killers', 'Badlands' Promises To Be The Third Predator Hit In A Short Time

‘Predator: Badlands’ showcases an intriguing story of survival and teamwork in an alien world, featuring a rogue Predator and his android companion on a dangerous quest.

A new trailer is available for Predator: Badlands, the next film in the franchise following the successful Prey recently. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the film stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, and it will be released in theaters this November.

The film tells the story of a young, rogue Predator who teams up with Thia, a synthetic being, as they search for a formidable opponent on a remote planet. Together, they form an unlikely alliance that lies at the heart of the plot.

Predator Universe

Director Trachtenberg previously enjoyed success with Prey (2022) and the animated film Predator: Killer of Killers (2025), and he bases Badlands on a script by Patrick Aison among others. The film undoubtedly fits within the extensive Predator universe but acts as a standalone adventure.

The lead roles are played by Fanning as Thia, an android created by Weyland-Yutani, and Schuster-Koloamatangi as Dek, an outcast Predator. Supporting roles include Jeff Cutter, Bear McCreary, and Stefan Grube.

November

Predator: Badlands will be released on November 8. Hopefully, the film will achieve financial success, as Trachtenberg has proven to be a great asset to the franchise.
