After 4 Seasons, It's Over And Done For 'The Walking Dead' Series

For over ten years, this series has captivated audiences, but the story will soon conclude.

What began as a new mission in a familiar world evolved into a remarkable adventure in unknown territory. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon took viewers to Europe, where Daryl and Carol continued their fight against the undead. But now, the end of their journey is in sight.

During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that the series will be extended with a fourth season. At the same time, the news came that this would also be the final season. Filming starts this month in Spain, at various locations around Madrid, Bilbao, and Andalusia.

Years Of Collaboration

Norman Reedus, who has been embodying Daryl since the beginning, thanked the fans in a statement. According to him, the finale is not just a farewell but a tribute to everything that has been built alongside the viewers. Yet he promises that Daryl’s story is not entirely over.

Also, Melissa McBride, known as Carol Peletier, expressed her excitement about filming with Reedus in Europe again. According to her, there’s still plenty to come, and the upcoming season will hold much beauty for fans.

The End Is Near

The third season will premiere on September 7 on AMC and AMC+. In it, Daryl and Carol try to find their way back home. However, the journey takes them further off the beaten path, through unknown terrain and new threats.

With new faces like Stephen Merchant and Eduardo Noriega, the series receives a final fresh boost. Although the end is near, Daryl Dixon seems determined to make a grand farewell to the Walking Dead universe.
