Star Wars: Starfighter was officially announced this year during the annual Star Wars Celebration event. Kathleen Kennedy, head of Lucasfilm, and Shawn Levy also revealed the lead actor. It turned out to be none other than Ryan Gosling.
Starfighter is set five to six years after the events of Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker and has no connections to the previous films.
