These 7 Series Netflix Canceled In 2025, And They Won't Return

Seven Netflix series have been canceled far too soon, surprising many fans and viewers alike.

Netflix is known for its range of original series, but also for the quick cancellations that often occur. Seven series were canceled in 2025, with some being cut after just one season.

The latest series to be canceled is Fubar starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was canceled after two seasons despite a strong performance in its first season and many viewers tuning in. Earlier this year, six other series also came to an end for various reasons.

After 1 Season

Four series were stopped after just one season. Among them, The Residence is perhaps the most notable. This series is a 'whodunit' set in the White House but barely got a chance to build its audience. Additionally, No Good Deed, a black comedy about three families wanting to buy the same house, also disappeared after one season.

The series Pulse, which follows a group of doctors solving medical crises daily in their Miami hospital, was canceled shortly after its release and will not return after just one season.

After Two Seasons

After two seasons, both The Recruit, an action-thriller about a young CIA agent, and Break Point, a documentary about tennis professionals, will not return for another season. The former attracted a modest fan base but not enough for a third round. The latter could not match the hype of series like Drive to Survive.

Finally, Unstable, featuring Rob Lowe as an eccentric biotechnologist, also faced cancellation. Despite the big name, the series failed to leave a lasting impression.

Miniseries

It seems that fewer series are failing at Netflix. This is partly due to Netflix focusing on miniseries. The recent miniseries Untamed performed strongly and was rewarded with a second season. Netflix is also investing in short-run series, typically two or three seasons long.
