72-year-old James Bond Actor Ready To Return In 'Bond 26'
The upcoming film is directed by Denis Villeneuve, known for his work on 'Dune', and fans are excited.
Right now, there is a vigorous search for the new James Bond. The upcoming 26th film in the series is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Dune), and the latest we heard is that he is looking for a younger actor.
That doesn't stop 72-year-old Pierce Brosnan from throwing his hat in the ring. The actor was Bond in the 1990s, making his first appearance in GoldenEye.
In an interview with Radio Times, he says he is closely following the casting news about Bond. Then he states: "I don't think anyone wants to see a rugged, 72-year-old Bond, but if Villeneuve had something in store, I would jump at it instantly."
Brosnan makes it clear that this is a joke, but he continues to elaborate: "Why not? It's great entertainment. It could be really funny. Bald wigs, prosthetics... Who knows?"
The actor spoke with Radio Times about his new Netflix film, The Thursday Murder Club. It also features roles for Helen Mirren, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie. You can catch the film starting Friday.
