'Sisu' Is Back! Intense Wartime Violence In The Trailer For 'Sisu: Road To Revenge'
In 2022, 'Sisu' shocked audiences with its intense WWII action. Now, a fierce new enemy awaits our hero's return.
The first trailer for Sisu: Road to Revenge is now online. Once again, we can expect complete chaos from 'the man who refuses to die'. The film is, of course, the sequel to the already brutal Sisu.
Finnish actor Jorma Tommila returns as the silent warrior Aatami. This time, his character faces new enemies when he returns to his remote home, where his family was killed during the war.
The first film was released in 2022 and received stellar reviews. On the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer, it boasts a magnificent 94 percent. The audience is also thrilled with all the insanity in the film, with a popcorn score of 88 percent.
"The man is like a masked serial killer in a slasher film: unstoppable. Including that element of invulnerability, regardless of what is done to him. Sometimes it even goes a bit too far," says Terence Shea in his review for FilmTotaal.
The direction is once again in the hands of Jalmari Helander. In the new film, we also see Stephen Lang (Avatar, Don't Breathe), as a commander of the Red Army. Coming to theaters in November.
