Intended As A "gift For The Fans," The Series Is Now A Mega Hit On Prime Video
Fans are excited for the new series that expands the universe.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf started as a 'filler' between the first and second season of the original series. Lead actor Chris Pratt came up with the suggestion. This way, fans could bridge the gap between the seasons of The Terminal List.
David DiGilio made this revelation in an interview with THR while filming season 2, which is shot on location in Morocco. In collaboration with Jack Carr, the author of the book series, a narrative emerged that adds more depth to the 'Terminal List' universe.
Pratt will appear in three episodes as James Reece, but this is expressly a guest role. "Chris said 'I’m in it, but this is Taylor's [Kitsch] series'", DiGilio explained. He then elaborated that well-known characters make an appearance in the prequel series.
These include Raife Hastings, Mo Farooq, and Jules Landry. DiGilio: "It is a bridge within the world Jack Carr has created. We gave fans a chance to know Ben better, but we also provide more background on other fan-favorite characters".
However, fans need not worry about the source material. Jack Carr remains involved in the adaptation of his books. "Since starting in 2019, I have developed a good working relationship with Jack. He has a complex backstory for Raife (Tom Hopper), which we could not fit into 'The Terminal List'".
"Ultimately, we came up with the idea 'what if Ben was involved in Raife's backstory'? You can incorporate the lead-up into 'Dark Wolf', showing how everything played out in 'The Terminal List'," concluded the showrunner.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is far from a production that relies solely on spectacle. The personal dynamics that had no room in the original series are shown in detail in this impressive prequel series. Both series can be streamed on Prime Video.
