The Second Season Of This Surprising And Highly Acclaimed Sci-fi Series Gets Even Better With These Details

Prime Video is set to launch Gen V season 2, which connects to The Boys and premieres on September 17.

Prime Video is soon releasing the second season of Gen V, the spin-off of The Boys. This new season arrives almost two years after the first one and promises to maintain a direct link to the main series. The first three episodes will premiere on September 17, with a new episode released weekly until October 22.

The second season consists of a total of eight episodes. According to showrunner Michele Fazekas, the narrative of The Boys season 4 will intertwine with Gen V. Homelander has taken over America. We will show what that means for the country, the university, and the emergence of a counter-movement. This strongly ties the series to the larger storyline of the universe.

New And Returning Cast

Familiar faces such as Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Patrick Thomas return. Hamish Linklater makes his debut as the new dean of Godolkin University, while Ethan Slater stars as Dr. Thomas Godolkin, the founder of the institution. Additionally, Keeya King, Stephen Kalyn, Julia Knope, Stacey McGunnigle, Tait Fletcher, Wyatt Dorion, and George Murphy have been added to the cast. Erin Moriarty as Starlight and Chace Crawford as The Deep will also make guest appearances.

The new season also marks the farewell to Chance Perdomo, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in March 2024. Fazekas emphasized that his role and legacy will remain intact in the story: "It was crucial for us to honor him. He remains present throughout the entire season."

Behind The Scenes

The production is led by Fazekas, with Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Neal H. Moritz serving as executive producers.
