The official trailer for the new Netflix miniseries Heweliusz has been released online. Starting in early November, you’ll be able to stream this impressive Polish series. The drama revolves around a disaster in the Baltic Sea in 1993.

The series was created by Anna Kępińska, Jan Holoubek, and Kasper Bajon. Director Holoubek may be familiar to you from the acclaimed Wielka Woda (2022), also from Netflix.

Heweliusz tells the heartbreaking story of a major maritime disaster and the subsequent quest for justice. Survivors fight tirelessly for answers and to restore the reputation of their loved ones. The true story aspect adds depth and tension to the series.

Interesting detail: Heweliusz is made on a grand scale. With over 120 characters, 3,000 extras, and a crew of 140 people, it is one of the largest Polish series ever.

The leading roles are played by Magdalena Różyczka, Michał Żurawski, Konrad Eleryk, and Michalina Łabacz. Heweliusz will be available on Netflix starting November 5th.
