By The End Of 2025, This 'end-of-the-world Movie' Will Take Over Netflix

In a rapidly flooding world, a mother and her daughter face unimaginable challenges in a collapsing apartment complex.

Netflix has released a trailer for The Great Flood, a new South Korean disaster film about the end of the world. In this film, the Earth is engulfed by a massive tidal wave.

The film is directed by Kim Byung-woo (Take Point) and stars Kim Da-mi (The Witch), Park Hae-soo (Time to Hunt), Kim Kyu-na, and more.

Trapped


The story follows Anna (Kim), a research scientist and young mother who is home alone with her daughter. When a tidal wave strikes the city, they find themselves trapped in their apartment building.

As the water rises, they struggle to find a way out. Security guard Hee-jo (Park) desperately attempts to rescue them, but it's harder than expected. And perhaps Anna is the only hope for humanity...

Watch the trailer now below. The Great Flood premieres today at the Busan International Film Festival in Korea. The film will be available on Netflix from December 19th.
