Sylvester Stallone Is Back! First Reviews Of The New 'Tulsa King': To Watch Or Skip?

Season 3 of 'Tulsa King' on Paramount+ and SkyShowtime is receiving positive reviews and is scoring well on Rotten Tomatoes.

After series like Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown, Taylor Sheridan is also the most recognized name behind the crime series Tulsa King. Starring once again is Sylvester Stallone, accompanied by Andrea Savage. The series will return soon with its third season on Paramount+ and SkyShowtime. The first reviews are now online.

In season 3 of Tulsa King, we see how Dwight Manfredi tries to strengthen his grip in Oklahoma while facing new rivals and internal conflicts within his own organization. The series combines classic mafia elements with a modern setting and dark humor. As of writing, there are two initial reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Bigger, bolder, brasher
According to M.N. Miller from FandomWire, the third season is the strongest yet. "Tulsa King is bigger, bolder, and brasher - the best season so far. Stallone brings his signature mumbling charisma, a blend of threatening mob boss and unexpected comedian. A crime series for the underdogs, addictive and criminally entertaining."

Jeff Ewing from Collider calls the season exciting and mature. Although he still has questions about how everything will ultimately come together, he writes: "Season 3 is an intense ride and the best that Sheridan's series has delivered so far."

Criminally entertaining
The production budget of the third season has not been officially disclosed, but season 1 had an estimated budget of 40 million dollars. The series debuted in 2022 and has since grown into one of the most popular titles on Paramount's platform.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the complete series holds a decent 89 percent on the Tomatometer. The Audience Score is slightly lower at 83 percent. Tulsa King premieres on Paramount+ on Spetember 21 and on SkyShowtime on September 25.

Manga Sensation On Netflix: Fans In Ecstasy After Launch Of New Teaser And Confirmation Of Third Season!

New characters introduced in One Piece season 2 on Netflix include Chopper, Smoker, and Tashigi, exciting fans everywhere.

Fans of One Piece won’t have to wait much longer to see new faces in Netflix’s live-action adaptation. A brand new preview clip gives us a glimpse of several iconic characters making their debut in season two.

The first season successfully translated the atmosphere and look of the popular manga and anime into a live-action world with great attention to detail. The second season builds upon that and, according to the creators, is set to be even grander. Previous teasers and the official trailer have already briefly showcased characters like ship doctor Chopper and marine leader Smoker making an appearance.

New Footage And Cast Members

The latest preview not only shows snippets from the set but also provides a first look at Julia Rehwald in the role of Tashigi. She is a young marine officer who works under her superior Smoker. Her introduction promises to deepen the dynamic between the marine forces and the Straw Hat Pirates as the series moves towards the Grand Line.

Tashigi is a beloved character in the manga and anime because she sometimes opposes the pirates, but at other times collaborates with them. This makes her an unpredictable factor in the story surrounding Luffy, Zoro, and the rest of the crew. In the series, she will initially be on the hunt for the Straw Hats, but that relationship could shift quickly.

Looking Ahead To The Future

The second season of One Piece is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2026. Although an exact release date is missing, it is already established that there will also be a third season. This further underscores Netflix's confidence in the series, which has built a loyal fan base worldwide and boasts an impressive 8.3 rating on IMDb.

First Reviews Of Potential Hit 'Black Rabbit' On Netflix: Watch Or Skip?

'Black Rabbit' on Netflix features themes of brotherhood and trauma, showcasing the talents of Bateman and Law in leading roles.

Jason Bateman previously directed episodes of Ozark and The Outsider, but he now returns with a new drama series for Netflix. In this psychological thriller, he stars alongside Jude Law in one of the lead roles. The series is titled Black Rabbit But is the miniseries worth watching?

The six-part miniseries revolves around two brothers in New York struggling with their past as they try to navigate the present. As their bond comes under strain, secrets and tensions are slowly revealed. Currently, the series holds a Tomatometer score of 73 percent on Rotten Tomatoes based on 15 reviews.

Stylish Direction and Strong Lead Roles
Judy Berman from TIME Magazine recommends Black Rabbit for its "stylish direction" and pacing that prevents the plot from dragging. She especially praises the chemistry between Bateman and Law, stating: "Law and Bateman make a brilliantly cast brother duo."

Johanna Schneller from the Globe and Mail emphasizes the emotional aspect of the series. She notes that the series draws you into a hopeless situation: "You feel the injustice up close, but cannot grasp it. Black Rabbit raises your heart rate – until it breaks."

Narrative Repetition and Inevitability
Craig Mathieson from The Age sees some missed opportunities despite the potential. He writes that the series becomes repetitive and doesn't delve deeply enough into the relationship between the brothers. "A shame, as some storylines surrounding the duo could have delivered much more."

Ben Travers from IndieWire is more critical. He claims that the series feels unavoidable and predictable from the start. He writes: "The opening scene with a flash-forward immediately makes it clear why you don't need to keep watching."
