Latest Marvel Series Already Set For A Second Season?
With no Marvel movies scheduled until summer 2026, fans can still look forward to exciting new series content.
Marvel Studios currently has no major theatrical releases planned until the new Spider-Man movie opens next summer. However, fans need not be idle, as there is indeed some exciting series content on the way.
The next release is Marvel Zombies, an animated series set to launch next week on Disney+. Brad Winderbaum, head of Streaming at Marvel Studios, is actively promoting this new title right now.
Although Marvel Zombies was initially designed as a miniseries, Marvel Studios is leaving the door open for a follow-up. If the series is well-received, a second season is certainly possible.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Winderbaum revealed that there is already a "blueprint for a potential second season" prepared. However, the future of the series depends on the success of the first season.
Winderbaum emphasizes that viewers play an important role: "People need to subscribe to Disney+ and watch this show. If that happens, more will come. And we are excited. We are ready."
Marvel Zombies brings animated versions of beloved MCU characters to life. Several voice actors from the live-action films are returning to reprise their roles in this animated variant.
The series consists of four episodes that will all be available at once on September 24. Fans can binge-watch right as the series goes live.
