"A Success Of Biblical Proportions", Prime Video Releases Trailer For The Second Season Of Epic Series

The House of David reveals a trailer showcasing David's ongoing struggle and newfound challenges.

Following the unexpected popularity of the first season, House of David is soon returning with new material. Prime Video has released the first trailer for season 2, announcing the series will continue from October 5. On that date, the first two episodes will be available exclusively through the Wonder Project subscription, which is part of Prime Video in the US.

The second season builds upon the events after David's victory over Goliath. The young shepherd, played by Michael Iskander, must find his place amid court intrigues, family conflicts, and a budding romance. As his status rises, he faces increasing pressure and enemies who would prefer to see him disappear rather than ascend to the throne.

New Power Struggles

The trailer shows that after his triumph over Goliath, David is once again threatened, notably by Achish, the Philistine king of Gath. While the people sing his praises and Saul appoints him commander, new obstacles pile up. His relationship with Michal, Saul’s daughter, and the queen Ahinoam's suspicions only complicate matters further.

The role of the prophet Samuel remains crucial as well. He proclaims that Saul has been rejected by God, while David is chosen to bear the kingship. "God chose me," David says in the trailer, emphasizing the path towards his eventual leadership.

From October 5

Therefore, season 2 will first launch through the separate sub-service from October 5, after which it will likely be available to all Prime Video subscribers at some point.
