Producer Gary Dauberman is quite busy. A few years ago, he signed a deal with Sony for multiple projects, and as part of that, he is expected to create feature films and curate a selection of established and emerging filmmakers.

So far, the deal has resulted in the video game adaptation of Until Dawn and the development of The Medium. Additionally, there are two upcoming reboots of both Urban Legend and Human Remains.

Immortal

Now, Deadline reports that Dauberman and his production company 'Coin Operated' are collaborating with writer and director David Yarovesky to develop a new horror film titled He Never Dies.

The summary states, "A killer who is killed keeps coming back. Bigger, stronger, and less human. No matter what they do... He never dies." This sounds like a twist on classic slasher movies.

Experience

Yarovesky is best known for the superhero horror Brightburn from 2019 and the thriller Locked from earlier this year. He also wrote the scripts for several films including IT, Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, Annabelle Comes Home (which he also directed), The Nun, and the remake Salem's Lot.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a new Captain America, but Anthony Mackie still can't believe it. The actor was seen for years as Falcon in the superhero franchise.

In Avengers: Endgame, the Captain America shield was passed to him by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). It then took some time before we got a new Captain America film, but earlier this year it finally arrived with Captain America: Brave New World.

Unexpected

"I never thought I would play Captain America," Mackie now shares. "You know, Marvel had a pretty interesting system where nearly everyone could make three films. (...) Thor was the only one with 17 films."

He continues: "So I never thought there would be a chance. I thought there would be a Falcon film. But I never thought it would become a Falcon/Captain America film."

No Profit

Brave New World unfortunately was not the success Marvel had hoped for. The film holds a score of 46% on the Tomatometer and made only $415 million globally at the box office. That wasn't enough to turn a profit.

The series release that is currently generating the most hype is Outlander: Blood of My Blood. According to data from Diesel Labs, this is the most discussed new series of August 2025. The prequel to the popular Outlander franchise has achieved a hype score of 100 percent, placing it at the top of the list of most anticipated series.

The new series premieres on August 8 on Starz and takes the audience to 18th century Scotland. It revolves around the parents of Jamie Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, whose forbidden love laid the foundation for the tales that would later be told in Outlander. This promises to deliver both historical intrigue and the romance that made the original so beloved.

Since its premiere in 2014, Outlander has grown into an international hit. The series, based on Diana Gabaldon's books, combines historical events with fantasy elements and an engaging love story.
