Season 1 Was Viewed By 252 Million People: Season 2 Shocks Netflix Viewers Again

Wednesday season 2 captivates Netflix with its dark style and impressive performances.

Fans of Wednesday on Netflix are in for a treat. The second season of the fantasy series is dominating the Netflix Top 10, and the reception is even better than that of season 1.

Wednesday, written and directed under the guidance of Tim Burton, is described by Netflix using words like Chilling, Imaginative, and Dark comedy. The main roles are played by Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, and Christina Ricci.

Strong Reception & Record-Breaking Viewership

Season 1 was a massive success: in the first 91 days, the series attracted no less than 252.1 million viewers and spent 20 weeks in the Global Top 10; in 93 countries, the debut season reached the Top 10. The criticism of season 2 is predominantly positive: the Rotten Tomatoes score rose from 73% for season 1 to 82% for season 2.

The Critics Consensus on Rotten Tomatoes states that the season has "a clever approach" by "showing more of the entire Addams clan". Jenna Ortega and Burton's visual style, in particular, are praised.

Now Available To Watch

However, not everyone is positive. "The absent attention to detail beyond what’s stylish, combined with the neat-and-tidy aesthetic mandated for broadly appealing teen dramas, puts the focus back on what Season 2 is trying to say, which isn’t much," says Ben Travers of IndieWire. If you enjoy Wednesday, season 2 is now available on Netflix.

The synopsis: When Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy, nothing is as she expected. She suddenly finds herself in the spotlight, must deal with new enemies, and must solve mysteries that go far beyond the realm of normal, all while confronting family conflicts and sinister secrets.

Health Declines: Bruce Willis No Longer Recognizes His Fame

Bruce Willis suffers from dementia but still enjoys meaningful moments with his family despite the struggles. This cherished time brings joy to both him and his loved ones.

A few years ago, Bruce Willis (70) had to retire due to illness. His family keeps him protected. They occasionally share happy updates about how he is doing.

At first, it was thought that the star of the Die Hard films suffered from aphasia. However, his health deteriorated so rapidly that specialists diagnosed him with a certain form of dementia.

Famous Actor

In a post by The Celeb Watch, it is mentioned that Bruce Willis may no longer recognize that he is a famous actor. He mostly remains silent, as speaking has become difficult for him. Additionally, he can no longer read and has motor skill issues.

His family shares little detail. They state that the disease has a progressive course, yet his situation is fortunately stable. They also emphasize that Bruce is surrounded by love and support.

Still Enjoying

In photos with his oldest daughters, it is clear that Bruce enjoys their visits.

"Not For The Faint of Heart": 'Traumatika' Is Effectively Scary

The trailer of 'Traumatika' promises a truly terrifying horror experience, captivating audiences with its chilling visuals.

A new trailer is available for the film Traumatika, a horror movie directed by French director Pierre Tsigaridis. It is clearly not a big production, but it has received strong feedback and the trailer is effectively frightening. Note: the imagery is imaginative yet intense.

In the film, Mikey's nightmares become real when his mother begins to show signs of demonic possession. What he undergoes will haunt him for the rest of his life and claim countless lives for generations.

Reception

On Rotten Tomatoes, there are eleven reviews, and the Tomatometer stands at a decent 82 percent. This means that only two reviewers consider the film 'rotten'.

"It’s not an easy film to watch. But I think Traumatika performs excellently overall: it delivers expected jump scares while also leaving thought-provoking material for those who are willing to engage," says Dan Tabor from Cinapse.

In The US

The film appears to have been completed in 2024 and will be released in the United States starting on September 12 in theaters, presumably in a limited capacity.
