Highly Popular Science Fiction Thriller With A 7.9 On IMDb Returns In February With A Second Season

Hulu reveals trailer and release date for season 2 of the science fiction thriller "Paradise."

The science fiction thriller Paradise is returning faster than expected. Less than two months after the cliffhanger in the last episode of season 1, the second season is about to begin. Hulu has released the official trailer and announced the release date.

In the first series, we followed Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown), who hid for years in an underground bunker because the world outside was supposed to be uninhabitable. The final scene of season 1 showed him maneuvering an airplane to the closed hangar doors, which then opened, and the image abruptly faded out. The trailer for season 2 now reveals what happened next. And yes: there is still life above ground, and hope for a reunion with his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma).

New World, New Threat

Unlike season 1, in which life above ground was only seen in flashbacks, season 2 predominantly takes place in the rediscovered world outside. As Collins continues his quest, the residents of the underground city are trying to recover from the political chaos and violence with which the previous season ended.

Familiar characters return as well. Julianne Nicholson is back as Sinatra, who narrowly survived an assassination attempt in season 1. Sarah Shahi (Dr. Gabriela Torabi), Nicole Brydon Bloom (Jane), and James Marsden, who returns via flashbacks as President Cal Bradford despite his character's demise, are also reappearing. New to the second season is Shailene Woodley, known from Big Little Lies.

Quick Return

The first episode of Paradise premiered on January 28, 2025, and the second season will premiere on February 23, 2026. Thus, there is exactly thirteen months between the two seasons. On the release day, three episodes will be made available at once, followed by a new episode each week.

Paradise has an IMDb score of 7.9. The trailer for season 2 has now been released, offering a glimpse into new storylines, mysterious revelations, and returning characters.
