'Jurassic World Rebirth' Gets A Terrifying Reality Check From Cloning Scientist

The new installment raises important questions about the possibilities and risks of bringing extinct species back to life.

22 years after the first Jurassic Park film, a new installment arrives: Jurassic World: Rebirth. The big question being raised is: Is it wise to bring extinct animals back to life? Many viewers are wondering if it is still technically possible. Fortunately, there is a cloning scientist who has checked this.

In Steven Spielberg's first film, it quickly became clear how dangerous it is to clone dinosaurs. Dr. Ian Malcolm warned that scientists didn't sufficiently consider the consequences. But the key question is: How far can we go with technology to bring dinosaurs back to life?

Reality Check

Scientist Ben Lamm previously made headlines by resurrecting ancient animal species. Regarding the cloning of dinosaurs, he states: "We are now at a point where artificial intelligence and genetic technology are working together. But there is no dinosaur DNA left, because DNA breaks down quickly."

He further comments on the chances of a return: "The oldest DNA we have is 1.2 million years old from a mammoth. So I don't want to rule it out, but I don't think we'll ever find complete dino DNA."

Real Super Dinosaurs

In Jurassic World: Rebirth, a group of people ventures into the jungle to collect genetic material from dinosaurs. According to Lamm, some aspects of the film are scientifically accurate. The dinosaurs are often not 'real,' but genetically engineered super dinosaurs. While this may seem exaggerated, some techniques actually align with how science operates.

Rumor Mill At Full Speed; "Larger Than Lord Of The Rings", Prime Video Goes All Out With This Epic Game Adaptation!

The third Bequin book by Dan Abnett has been paused due to potential overlaps with Amazon Prime's series plans for Warhammer 40K.

A vague Facebook post by writer Dan Abnett was enough to stir the Warhammer community into a frenzy. He announced that his third Bequin book, Pandaemonium, is temporarily on hold for "reasons" he cannot disclose. However, the timing and circumstances all point to one major subject: Henry Cavill and Amazon.

Rumors are circulating on Reddit that the book's pause is related to potential overlaps with the script for the upcoming Warhammer 40K series. This suggests that Abnett’s story development might align with Amazon's TV plans, featuring Henry Cavill as a central creative force.

Fan

It is no secret that Cavill is a passionate fan of the Warhammer-universe. As executive producer of the project, he has substantial influence over the series' direction. In a previous interview, he stated that translating the complex 40K universe to the screen is far more difficult than anticipated: "The difficulty of it is precisely what makes it so captivating. Capturing the right tone and nuance on paper poses an enormous challenge, but it's one I enjoy."

Amazon officially greenlit the development of a full-fledged Warhammer universe late last year. It became clear that Cavill will not only star in the series but will also help shape part of the vision behind the scenes. Cavill has previously noted that the bar is set extremely high: "It has to be perfect, at least on par with Lord of the Rings. If that doesn't happen, I would be extremely disappointed."

Publications on Hold

The possibility of delaying book publications to avoid conflicts with the series seems to support this vision. Cavill wants to present a uniform, tightly directed, and content-coherent universe, even if it means established authors need to wait to publish their works.
