'Jurassic World: Rebirth' Seems Rushed For A Reason: "Can We Change The Release Date?"

Director Gareth Edwards faced a very tight schedule with only three months to prepare for the film, which impacted the overall production process.

Have you seen Jurassic World: Rebirth and thought to yourself at times, 'Hey, that doesn’t quite add up!' or 'Where is that happening exactly?' There’s a reason for that. The movie was made in relatively quick succession.

The script for Jurassic World: Rebirth was submitted in December 2023 by screenwriter David Koepp, known for the original Jurassic Park film. Universal Pictures brought in Gareth Edwards for the fourth Jurassic World film in March 2024, and the production of Jurassic World: Rebirth started barely three months later, with a release date set for July 2025.

Short Preparation Time

In the Filmmaker Toolkit podcast by IndieWire, Edwards mentioned that the preparation time was notably short. "It was the same preparation time as for Monsters, which I shot with three people in a van," said the director, referring to his breakout film from 2010. He stressed that Hollywood films typically take at least 2.5 years from start to finish.

Edwards also attempted to convince the Universal team, led by Donna Langley and Peter Cramer, to postpone the scheduled release date. "I raised my hand and said, 'Can we change the release date?'" Edwards recalled. However, his request was not granted.

Outcome As Planned

According to Edwards, the action scenes and visual effects are among the best since the original Jurassic Park. The significant advantage is that Edwards is also a VFX designer, allowing him to combine efficiency with creativity, ultimately saving precious time during the production process.

Financially, the film appears to be on track for a strong performance at the global box office. The mixed reviews have had little impact on this.

George R.R. Martin Is A Big Fan Of This Famous Series On HBO Max

George R.R. Martin praises the historical drama for its depth and compelling storylines that resonate with personal struggles.

George R.R. Martin repeatedly shows that his taste in television is as thoughtful as in his books. He speaks with remarkable admiration for Rome, HBO's historical drama series.

In various blog posts, he has expressed that he still misses the show. The power struggles, brutality, and political games remind him of his own world of Westeros, even though Rome is set in a very different era.

Exactly

According to Martin, the series is precisely what he hoped for. 9ome is exactly as good as I had hoped, and it provides a great contrast with all modern series,” he wrote. He also admitted that he still misses "is monthly dose of Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus." What appeals to him the most is how historical events are intricately woven with personal dramas.

Rome follows two soldiers, Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, who become involved in major upheavals in Roman history. Julius Caesar returns from Gaul, the republic teeters, and eventually, the empire emerges. Through their eyes, we see how power, loyalty, and ambition are all defining, even for ordinary people who accidentally find themselves at the center of history.

High-rated historical drama

The series boasts an impressive 8.7 on IMDb. This ranks Rome among the highest-rated historical drama series of the past twenty years. The complete series Rome is via HBO Max. For those who enjoy brutal history and political drama, it remains a must-watch.

First Review Of 'Superman' Accidentally Goes Online Too Early: Here’s What’s Being Said

The review was taken down shortly after it was posted, but many people still read it before it disappeared.

The Daily Beast accidentally published a review of Superman online, four days before it's supposed to release from the studio. The site quickly corrected the mistake, but people still got to read the article.

The text is now being widely shared online. Unfortunately for the fans, it is far from positive. In fact, the reviewer completely tears the superhero film apart. Below we summarize what is being said.

Not A Fan

Most criticism is directed at the script. Writer-director James Gunn is said to have "overstuffed" the film with too many characters, preventing anyone from truly developing. "Everything and everyone is two-dimensional," the reviewer writes, "even if the visual language of the direction is sharp and lively."

This makes the film feel "superficial," like "a packed cartoon you would watch on a Saturday afternoon." The action may be good, but it is described as mostly "CGI madness," and there is so much of it that at a certain point, it "loses its impact."

Wasted Cast

The performance of lead actor David Corenswet is also criticized. He is said to come off as "relatively weak," "a situation made worse by the film jumping around so much."

Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor) and Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane) come out well, as does Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), but their performances are overshadowed by "the endless fury of the material."

In Theaters July 11

On July 8, the rest of the reviews will come online. Then we’ll see if others think similarly about the film. Hopefully, this is not the case because Superman is set to launch a whole new franchise (the DC Universe).

In The 80s, Kelly Lebrock From 'Weird Science' Blew Everyone Away: This Is What She Looks Like Now!

Kelly Lebrock was a stunning actress who captivated audiences in the 80s with her charm and beauty. Now, we explore her life beyond Hollywood.

In the 80s, many hearts raced at the sight of Kelly Lebrock (65). The model was the beauty ideal and left men completely spellbound.

Perhaps this was due to her seductive roles in The Woman in Red and Weird Science. She starred in more films until 1998 but chose to quit her Hollywood career for the privacy of her children.

Hollywood Superstar

Kelly Lebrock was married to mega-star Steven Seagal, and they starred together in Hard to Kill, but that turbulent marriage ended within 10 years. Their three children grew up with her - in quiet, without TV, on a ranch in Santa Barbara.

She told Fox News: “Hollywood is not my place to raise children. My divorce was highly publicized. And I am not a Hollywood girl. I prefer to be in nature with dirt under my nails. I want a simple life.”

Away From Fame

And this while she had been featured as a stunning and seductive model since she was 16, appearing in various magazines and films. She was at the top, but found raising her children more important than money and fame.

From time to time, she appears in films again, such as Tomorrow's Today and 10 Days in a Madhouse. She has aged quite a bit, but still looks youthful. However, you might need to look twice to find the 80s Kelly.

Strange Photos From 'The Witcher' Season 5: The Netflix Fantasy Series Keeps Stirring Up Controversy

The first images of the final season are stirring anticipation and debate among fans.

The first photos from The Witcher season 5 are online, sparking discussions across the internet. Anya Chalotra appears as Yennefer in Skellige, alongside soldiers from Nilfgaard. This directly contradicts the works of Andrzej Sapkowski.

In the books, there is no connection between the Skellige archipelago and Nilfgaard. The Witcher has faced significant criticism for straying from the source material, making the images even more surprising. The implication is that the story is taking a completely different direction.

A Lack Of Sensation

Whether this adaptation holds up will be revealed in the upcoming episodes. Filming is taking place in South Wales, which is standing in for the Skellige archipelago. It has previously been announced that Kate Dickie will play Sigrdrifa. This priestess of Freya has connections with Yennefer in the books, who ends up in Skellige after escaping from the Lodge of Sorceresses.

The creators may be attempting to inject more excitement into the story. Yennefer’s quest for Ciri (Freya Allen) may not be engaging enough, prompting the decision to introduce an invasion from Nilfgaard. However, one wonders what the reason is for occupying the islands and how this fits into the world of 'The Witcher'.

Hints In The Fourth Season

For now, we will have to wait to see how the story unfolds further. The fourth season has yet to premiere, which will occur in 2025. This could provide clues that clarify the new direction. Until then, discussions and debates are likely to continue to heat up.
