Mark Hamill Was Understandably Appalled By 'The Human Centipede 2' And Refused Any Involvement

Mark Hamill shared his strong disapproval of the film's concept and turned down the offer without hesitation.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mark Hamill revealed that he was offered a role in the sequel to Tom Six's Human Centipede film, but he rejected the offer due to his disgust.

The Human Centipede 2 (Yes, for inexplicable reasons, a second part was unfortunately made) follows Martin Lomax who, after becoming obsessed with a film, decides to create a "human centipede" from twelve people.

The Wrong Answer

During a conversation with Entertainment Weekly about his upcoming film, The Long Walk, he recalled that "Someone said: 'They want you to be in 'The Human Centipede Part 2,' and I asked: 'What is 'The Human Centipede'?"

A question the actor would have preferred not to have answered. "They explained the premise to me, and I thought: 'Oh my God! Thanks for planting those images in my head, and I will never forgive you,'" he shared.

Goodbye Forever

Hamill then noted that it was a fairly simple decision for him to turn down the offer: "I said: 'No, don't send the script.' Just the idea, I will never see one."

"And I find it really disturbing that someone came up with the idea to sew people together from mouth to anus. Goodbye, and never come back into my life,'" the actor concluded.

This Expensive Sci-fi Film Was Supposed To Kick Off A Franchise, But It Ended Up Failing Miserably

The Wachowskis are known for their iconic contribution to cinema with the beloved 'Matrix' films, but this particular project in 2015 failed to impress audiences and critics alike.

Hollywood studios often invest heavily in a film that is meant to launch a new franchise. It frequently happens that grand plans go completely off the rails when the 'first' movie simply fails to succeed. A good example of this is Jupiter Ascending from Lilly and Lana Wachowski, the sisters behind The Matrix.

The Wachowskis released the bold sci-fi films Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas after the The Matrix trilogy. Jupiter Ascending was also very ambitious, but the duo was unable to deliver a successful end product.

Story

Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born believing that she would accomplish great things in her future, but her reality consists of cleaning other people's houses and endless setbacks.

Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered alien hunter, arrives on Earth to find her, making Jupiter finally aware of the grand destiny awaiting her. Jupiter's genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

Beginning Of An Epic

Jupiter Ascending was seen as the launch point for a multi-part sci-fi epic for Warner Brothers. The world was described as a fusion of Star Wars and The Matrix, in which themes like greed and consumption played a significant role.

Warner Bros. seemed to have great confidence in the Wachowskis' vision. The film had a production budget between $176 and $210 million. Unfortunately, all future plans crumbled after the film's release.

Flop

Sometimes it seems almost impossible for a film to be bad, yet there is always a chance that the respective movie fails, regardless of how talented the directors, actors, or writers are. This happened with Jupiter Ascending. The film only scored 26% on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed $184 million at the global box office.

With this revenue, the production budget was not even recouped. In addition to the production budget, there were also exorbitant marketing costs. What began as a launch point for a sci-fi franchise ended up being one of the biggest flops of the last ten years.

Finally: The Grand Return Of Daniel Day-Lewis In 'Anemone' Is Here

After nearly a decade away from Hollywood, Daniel Day-Lewis makes a remarkable return to acting for his son's debut film, 'Anemone'.

Earlier this month, the first official photo of Anemone was released online, the latest film from none other than Daniel Day-Lewis. Now we are treated to the first trailer.

For a long time, it seemed that the beloved Day-Lewis, often regarded as the greatest actor of all time, would not be making any more films after Phantom Thread. However, he decided to make an exception for his son, Ronan, since Anemone is his feature film debut.

Story

Anemone is set in Yorkshire at the end of the 1980s and revolves around the fate of two brothers who served as British paramilitaries in Northern Ireland twenty years earlier. Something happened there that changed one of the brothers forever...

The film explores the complex and profound bonds between brothers, fathers, and sons. Interestingly, Daniel co-wrote the script with his son Ronan. Other significant roles are played by Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley, and Safia Oakley-Green.

Trailer

The release is scheduled for October, a month that many film enthusiasts will be watching closely. Daniel Day-Lewis has not made a large number of films, but he has consistently delivered masterpieces. He even won an Oscar for My Left Foot, There Will Be Blood, and Lincoln. HBO Max Moves On With The Clearly "best Series Of The Year": First Trailer Of Season 2 Already

'The Pitt' dominates the TCA Awards and is seen as a leading contender for the Emmys. Details about the second season are now available!

It seems we have a clear favorite for the upcoming Emmys in the Best Drama Series category. At the 41st Annual Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards, the HBO Max series The Pitt walked away with an impressive four awards.

The new drama series was honored with 'Program of the Year', 'Outstanding Achievement in Drama', 'Outstanding New Program', and 'Individual Achievement in Drama' for lead actor Noah Wyle.

Outshining Strong Competition

The Pitt left behind strong competitors like Andor, Severance, The Last of Us, and The White Lotus, which are also nominated for the Emmys. Titles that did not make it to the final Emmy list, such as Interview with the Vampire, Matlock, and Industry, also fell short against the critically acclaimed HBO Max series.

At the same time, details about the second season of The Pitt have appeared through Entertainment Weekly. Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill confirmed that the new season will take place ten months later, on July 4, and that the story will restart on Dr. Frank Langdon's first day back at work, played by Patrick Ball, after his time in rehab.

Trailer

And almost immediately after the above news, HBO Max released the first trailer for season 2 of The Pitt online.
