The Perfect Movie According To George Clooney: "The Golden Age"

The beloved director and actor George Clooney shares his deep appreciation for the film 'All the President's Men', citing it as a masterpiece in cinema history.

George Clooney has been a prominent director and actor for decades. The Oscar-winning star has created many gems, but according to him, there is one film he will never be able to match.

Although Clooney has been active in the film industry for a long time, he missed the 'golden age.' According to the actor, from 1964 to 1976 was 'the best time in film history.' He enthusiastically reflects on this period.

Praise

He begins: "During that period, many top films came out that are on my favorites list. For example, I think of 'Network' and 'Dr. Strangelove', but my absolute number one is without a doubt 'All the President's Men'."

Clooney, known for Gravity and The Ides of March, continues: "This is, in my eyes, simply the perfect movie. You know from the start how it ends, but you are on the edge of your seat until the end. It remains exciting and intense. It is remarkable that a film achieves this in such a way."

Story

All the President's Men tells the true story of journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein (played by Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman) who uncovered the Watergate scandal.

Their revelations led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon, the only time a U.S. president voluntarily stepped down from office. Since the scandal had only recently occurred, making the film at that time was a risk. Nevertheless, it became a great success, receiving eight Oscar nominations and winning four golden statuettes.

Director Of The Biggest Movie Flop Ever Is Completely Broke

Defrauding your employer may seem tempting, but it can lead to severe consequences. Beware of the risks involved.

Before Keanu Reeves made a spectacular comeback with the John Wick franchise, he starred in the flop 47 Ronin released in 2013. While he emerged unscathed, the same cannot be said for director Carl Rinsch.

In a month, the trial against him will begin concerning fraud and money laundering, where he attempted to defraud Netflix. He was arrested in March and paid $100,000 bail to avoid incarceration.

From Los Angeles To New York

According to the Department of Justice, Rinsch never completed his work on the drama series White Horse/Conquest. The director’s lawyers claim that his financial situation is so dire that he cannot afford to travel to the hearing. Remarkably, the federal judge seems unconcerned by this.

If Rinsch is found guilty, he could face decades in prison. It’s possible that both the executives of the streaming service and Reeves may be called as witnesses.

Maintaining His Innocence

In 2018, Netflix supposedly paid Rinsch over $61 million for the project White Horse, later renamed Conquest. In 2020, Rinsch claimed he needed another $11 million to complete the series. Instead, he spent this on cars, cryptocurrency, watches, and other endeavors.

"Fans Of The Big Bang Theory Will Love And Hate This Series," Long-Awaited Sequel Features Sci-Fi Elements And Familiar Cast Members

HBO Max confirms new cast members for the exciting series "Stuart Fails to Save the Universe," which fans are eagerly anticipating.

The fourth spin-off project from The Big Bang Theory has been officially confirmed by HBO Max: Stuart Fails to Save the Universe returns with its own series centered around beloved comic book store owner Stuart Bloom.

After the conclusion of The Big Bang Theory in 2019, the franchise continued to grow with popular spin-offs like Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Now, the world expands with a series focusing on Stuart, who accidentally plunges the multiverse into chaos due to a device created by Sheldon and Leonard. He tries to restore reality with help from his girlfriend Denise, geologist Bert Kibbler, and scientist Barry Kripke, as they encounter alternate versions of familiar characters.

Familiar Faces, New Adventures

Kevin Sussman reprises his role as Stuart. Additionally, Lauren Lapkus (Denise), Brian Posehn (Bert), and John Ross Bowie (Barry) return for the spin-off. New cast members include Josh Brener, Ryan Cartwright, and Tommy Walker. For vigilant viewers, Cartwright and Brener are not unfamiliar. Cartwright previously appeared in season 6, episode 8 of The Big Bang Theory as Cole, a classmate of Penny in night school. Brener appeared in two episodes of the original sitcom, in seasons 5 and 6, as Dale, a staff member in Stuart's comic store.

Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady are at the helm as creators. Lorre described the project as a “radical” concept: a show “that fans of The Big Bang Theory will love, hate, and discuss”.

What Does This Mean For The Franchise?

With this new spin-off, the series partially delves into sci-fi and multiverse logic; a refreshing twist within the TBBT universe. We are very curious to see how this unfolds.

Guess Who's Back? Netflix Goes Offline Next Month!

The second part of season 2 of 'Wednesday' premieres on September 3, bringing excitement and mystery to viewers.

Netflix has released the trailer for the second part of season 2 of the series Wednesday, which premieres on September 3. Familiar faces are returning, of course, but new supernatural mysteries are also surfacing. Clearly, Netflix will attract quite a few visitors early on.

The series centered around Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, will return next month to the gothic setting of Nevermore Academy. With new enemies and challenges on the horizon, it promises to be a year filled with dark confrontations - and you know it's time - and strange plot twists.

Surprising Return

In the trailer, it is clear that someone from the past is making a comeback. Showrunner Alfred Gough cryptically states: “No one in our world is really 'dead-dead'.” This has naturally led to speculation.

Alongside Ortega, cast members like Emma Myers, Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzmán also return. Frances O’Connor and Lady Gaga are new as guest actors in the second part. Director Tim Burton is, of course, the driving force behind this series that we are excited to keep you updated on.

When To Watch On Netflix?

The first part of season 2 is currently available to watch worldwide via the streaming service and is doing almost as well as season 1. The second part will be released on September 3, a day on which Netflix needs to keep an eye on its servers.
