Netflix has released the full trailer for the third season of Ryan Murphy's Monster anthology series. This time, the story centers around Ed Gein, played by Charlie Hunnam.

The series transports viewers to the frigid Wisconsin of the 1950s, where Ed Gein, a reclusive farmer, hides a horrific secret. His remote farmhouse becomes the site of crimes that would leave a lasting mark on the horror genre for decades.

Ed Gein's actions inspired notorious fictional characters like Norman Bates, Leatherface, and Buffalo Bill. His obsession with his mother and his psychotic state made him an archetype of the American serial killer.

The third season of Monster delves into Gein's psychological abyss and the impact of his crimes on both the local community and the broader American culture. The first season from 2022 focused on Jeffrey Dahmer. It was a hit, though both critics and viewers found parts of the series "grotesque" and "disgusting". Familiar voices return, including Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan.

Season 1 of Marvel Zombies shows how the zombie virus turns everything upside down. The series highlights not only brutal fights with undead superheroes but also the moral dilemmas faced by the survivors. As Andrews noted earlier: “We didn’t just want to create a horror story, but a nightmare that also evokes emotion.”

The universe of The Boys continues to expand with multiple spin-offs. One major question among fans remains: where does Gen V fit into the timeline of the main series? With the second season, more clarity is now emerging.
