Google TV Makes Watching Movies Much Easier

It will be significantly easier to find what you are looking for when you want to watch a movie.

Google has started rolling out Gemini for TV in the United States and Canada. This is an update for Google TV Streamer that replaces Google Assistant with the AI model Gemini.

According to Google, this update means you can use your voice in a more natural way to search for content. No more endless scrolling through Netflix or Prime Video because you can't find a movie, so to speak.

Explanation

Google explains: "Finding the perfect movie is now very simple. For example, say: 'I love dramas, but my wife loves comedies. What movie can we watch together?' and Gemini finds something both of you will enjoy."

The assistant can also be used in an "educational" way, for instance, to find YouTube videos that relate to a topic you are interested in.

Availability

Gemini for TV can be activated by pressing the microphone button on the remote. As mentioned, this update is currently only available in North American countries. Release dates for other markets have not yet been announced.

Larger Than 'Sons Of Anarchy'? Apple TV Is Coming Out With An Intense Action Series Starring Jason Momoa

Kurt Sutter and Jason Momoa are collaborating on a new motorcycle club series titled Nomad, set in a gritty environment that differs from Sutter's previous works.

The creator of Sons of Anarchy is once again working on a motorcycle club series, this time for Apple TV. The project is titled Nomad and features a standout lead actor. Jason Momoa is on board for a new story that unfolds in a completely different setting than the Californian landscape of Sutter’s earlier work.

The production is being developed by Kurt Sutter and producer Chris Collins. They are currently working on the pilot concept, with Collins taking on the role of showrunner. The story revolves around a man struggling to survive within the tough motorcycle world of New Zealand. The protagonist balances between two families and two responsibilities and is forced to determine where his true loyalties lie.

New Collaboration

In addition to their work behind the scenes, Sutter, Collins, and Momoa also serve as executive producers. For Momoa, this marks his third project with Apple TV, following See and Chief of War. His recent experiences in action films and previous involvement in a motorcycle documentary series make him a logical choice for this role.

The series is still in development, but the premise offers room to explore a new kind of biker world. This time, Sutter is not focused on the legacy of his previous series, but on an entirely different subculture with its own codes and conflicts. The setting in New Zealand gives the creators the freedom to explore a rougher, lesser-known motorcycle scene.

Outlook

When Nomad will be released is still unknown, but the involvement of Apple TV and the creative team suggests that the series will become an important new title in the action genre. As more details emerge regarding production and cast expansion, it will become clear how this new world takes shape.
