The story in season 3 continues from the manga source material by Haro Aso and delves deeper into the mysterious world between life and death. Director Shinsuke Sato returns, as do lead actors Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya reprising their roles as Arisu and Usagi.

Netflix Cancels No Less Than Three (!) Popular Series

Netflix has made the difficult decision to cancel several original series, reflecting changing viewer preferences.

Netflix is once again cleaning house and is discontinuing two original series after just one season. The mysterious comedy The Residence and the medical drama Pulse have been cancelled immediately, while the dark comedy No Good Deed is currently on hold.

The Residence premiered in March this year and revolved around Cordelia Cupp, a consultant at the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C., portrayed by Uzo Aduba. The series followed her investigation into a murder during a state dinner at the White House.

Another Hospital Drama Disappears

The series Pulse premiered in April and showcased the chaos in a trauma center in Miami during a hurricane and internal tensions. The cast included Willa Fitzgerald, Colin Woodell, Justina Machado, and Néstor Carbonell.

Netflix seems to base its decisions on disappointing viewership numbers and reception. Although both series had strong casts, they failed to build a substantial audience that would justify a second season.

Future Of No Good Deed Uncertain

The dark comedy No Good Deed, which premiered at the end of 2024, has not been officially canceled yet. The series, about three families competing to buy the same house, is reportedly possibly in development as an anthology series and could return in the future with a new cast.

Earlier this year, Netflix Originals such as Territory and The Recruit were also shut down, indicating a broader cleaning effort at the streaming service.
